Emoplux

As part of the 10th edition of the European Month of Photography (EMOP) under the theme Rethinking Photography, Casino Luxembourg presents TUBE.DASH.PHOTO, an exhibition curated by Théophile Calot, director of delpire & co, a Paris-based space dedicated to photography. This exhibition offers a unique dialogue between two fundamental formats in photographic practice and its dissemination: the book and the exhibition space.

While the book immerses us in a horizontal, more intimate reading of the work, the exhibition space invites a vertical, broader interpretation.

Each participating artist presents works that relate to the concept of the “book” in a broad sense. These books or publications are, in turn, displayed within the exhibition space. Placed on individual reading devices, they challenge notions of verticality and horizontality in imagery, as well as perspectives on reading—an attempt to explore the connections between the space of the book and the space of the exhibition.
